| A delegation from NTNU recently returned from a two-week visit to Almunge Skola in Uppsala, Sweden, to observe and learn from their educational practices. Funded by a grant from the Ministry of Education, this visit was part of the Interdisciplinary and Integration: Swedish Education Observation Program. The program, led by Assistant Professor Hsin-Heng Chen and Assistant Professor Dr. Emily Yip from the School of Teacher Education, focused on international pedagogical exchange.more |

Hubble Project Launches the Next Generation of Global Managers |

| NTNU has partnered with Lion Travel, a leader in Taiwan’s tourism sector, to launch the Hubble Project for Global Talents. This academia-industry collaboration aims to nurture and train students in global management capabilities. Each year, the project will identify 8 to 12 standout students for opportunities in corporate roles and international internships, with the inaugural group to begin as early as August of this year.more |

NTNU Cooperates with TaiwanICDF for Cross-cultural Chinese Teaching Talents |

| NTNU and the International Cooperation and Development Fund co organize the “Overseas Technical Assistance Service Plan for Young Adults". Students majoring in Chinese teaching can teach Chinese online to overseas countries that are allies to Taiwan. Principal Investigator Prof. Tsai Ya Hsun said that the teaching by the student teacher is focus on cross culture and student-centered. They create a helpful, actual context for students that meets their needs.

Exceptional violinist Tseng Yu Chien, a silver medal winner of the 15th International Tchaikovsky Competition is in Taiwan during the pandemic. A master class was held on July 17th in the music hall of NTNU. The Music Department of NTNU plays an important role in the higher education in music. It is home to many well-know musicians that lead the music culture and the growth of education. more |

| To echo with the New Southbond Policy of the Ministry of Education, the Department of Industrial Education was invited by the government of Thailand to assist with training local teachers. Under the instruction of professors and graduate students of NTNU, 40 vocational teachers learned about app development and showed good results.

Pre Service Teachers Went to HKU for Exchange Traineeship |

| NTNU has been promoting the program of sending pre-service teachers abroad for short-term traineeship since 2014. Until 2017, NTNU has sent 54 pre-service teachers to Japan, Singapore, China, Myanmar and Canada. They can earn valuable experience by visiting other schools, know about the coursed of various countries and how they do it in classrooms, and gain a global vision as well as international mobility. more |

Russian Language Course at NTNU |

| Russia is one of the BRIC countries and one of the world's largest economies. About 250 million people speaks Russian and now you can learn it at NTNU. College of International Studies and Social Sciences, National Taiwan Normal University, opened Russian courses for the first time since the second semester of the 2016 academic year. In the following semester, an advanced course was opened on every Thursday by Assistant Prof. Kurovskaya from Samara branch of Moscow City Pedagogical University. All students are welcomed.more |

| In order to assist the academic leaders and teachers who has just worked in NTNU on their understanding of the working environment, the Flying Geese Camp was held. In addition to the offsite training during the semester, there’s also a training course on January 6th, helping the deans to acquainting how the international business is run in the campus, answering the questions that faculties may have.
President Sheu Tian Ming of the National Academy of Educational Research and President Chang Kuo En came to give a toast, encouraging the academic leaders. President Chang said that internationalization is the most important step for NTNU to transform. The leaders shoulder the responsibilities to lead the departments towards internationalization. President Sheu, who was the Dean of the College of Department of NTNU said that he was proud and honored to see that NTNU is performing better every year on internationalization. He is positive about it and bless all the departments to become successful in their filed. more |
