| From December 17th to 21st 2024, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) Executive Vice President Kwun-Min Chen led a University Academic Alliance in Taiwan (UAAT) delegation comprised of representatives from National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), National Chengchi University (NCCU), and National Chung-Hsing University (NCHU), to visit three Kyushu, Okinawa Open University Alliance (KOOU) universities in Japan, namely: Kumamoto University, Saga University, and Kagoshima University. The aim of this visit is to promote cooperation between the UAAT-KOOU through expanding bilateral international mobility, encouraging faculty and student exchange visits, and industry-academia ties, to further deepen Taiwan-Japan academic cooperation.more |

| From October 28 to 31, President Cheng-Chih Wu led a team from NTNU on a high-profile academic and alumni outreach mission Osaka. The delegation included Yi-De Liu, Director of the Office of International Affairs; Ching-Min Cheng, Dean of the College of Technology and Engineering; Hui-Ling Sung, Associate Dean of the School of Continuing Education; Min-Ping Kang, Director of the Public Affairs Center; and Chin-Li Lin, Professor from the Department of Taiwan Literature. They visited two top universities, and hosted an alumni reunion in Osaka. NTNU has long fostered academic exchange with Japanese institutions and currently partners with 59 Japanese sister schools, resulting in 81 Memoranda of Understanding, 65 student exchange agreements, and seven dual-degree programs.more |

| NTNU recently established a formal acadmic partnership with Cebu Normal University (CNU) focused on advancing research and educational exchange. From October 28 to 30, 2024, representatives from both institutions gathered in Cebu to sign a memorandum of understanding, initiating a faculty and student exchange program. The agreement was signed by Dr. Daniel A. Ariaso of CNU and NTNU College of Science Dean Jein-Shan Chen, with Dean Roberto Corcino of CNU’s College of Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Sciences (CCAIS) and NTNU Associate Dean Wei-Ta Fang as witnesses. | National Taiwan Normal University President Cheng-Chih Wu led a five-member delegation to South Korea from August 3 to 7, meeting with four of South Korea's top institutions. NTNU has close exchanges with Korean universities, with 32 MOUs, 22 Student Exchange (SEA) and 7 Dual Degree Programs (DDP) signed so far. This time, the NTNU delegation not only consolidated existing partnerships, such as meeting with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and Busan University of Foreign Studies, but also signed University-wide Memorandums of Understanding and Student Exchange Agreements with Pukyong National University and Pusan National University.more |

| As Fall 2024 drew to a close at National Taiwan Normal University, NTNU President Cheng-Chih Wu led an eight-person delegation comprised of the University’s top administrators to Canada and the United States. During 14-22 January, the delegation set out to visit overseas NTNU alumni as well as deepen relations and share about best practices in student care with NTNU’s partner institutions in the region. By the end of the week-long trip, the delegates were able to fulfill their desired objectives and conducted meaningful engagements at the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, and Purdue University.more |

| Since 2022, National Taiwan Normal University, National Taiwan University, and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (aka Taiwan Tech), have been conducting academic exchanges and organizing educational exhibitions in Southeast Asia through their alliance within the National Taiwan University System and producing excellent results. In order to promote Taiwan's higher education and expand its international visibility, the three universities carried out this cooperation model again this June with representatives from each school jointly holding admissions briefings and participating in the Incheon Education Fair in Korea. The three universities of the NTU System hope to attract more Korean students to study in Taiwan.more |

| As pandemic restrictions ease, in-person international academic exchanges may resume as before. On 30 March, a delegation from Kyushu University led by President Tatsuro Ishibashi came to National Taiwan Normal University and met with NTNU President Cheng-Chih Wu as well as other faculty members. The two parties held discussions on further academic cooperation and student exchange. Moreover, the guests were able to attend an important music performance and tour five campus landmarks, all the while sharing ideas during the entire experience.more |

NTNU’s College of Science and College of Technology & Engineering Sign Master Double Degree Agreement with Kyushu University |

| Following the visit of a National Taiwan Normal University delegation led by President Cheng-Chih Wu to Kyushu University in Japan last January, the two universities’ sisterhood deepens as they signed a Master's Double Degree Agreement on 7 March. The agreement enables NTNU's Master students from the College of Science and the College of Technology & Engineering to apply to study at Kyushu University for one semester (about five months), taking interdisciplinary science and engineering courses worth 20 credits. Upon completion of the NTNU Master's Program, thesis students will be granted Master’s degrees from both universities. The double-degree program is expected to have five open positions each year.more |
