New Technology Proves Key to Parkinson’s Disease Treatment
化學系葉怡均研發新酶技術 提升帕金森氏症療效

Taiwan has approximately 50,000 to 100,000 Parkinson's disease patients, but there is currently no cure. Levodopa is an important medication for treating Parkinson's disease, but its concentration is difficult to control. When the concentration is too high, it can cause side effects such as nausea and vomiting. [ more ]

臺灣約有5到10萬名的帕金森氏症患者,目前仍無藥可癒。左旋多巴是治療帕金森氏症的重要藥物,用藥濃度卻不易控制,當濃度一高,容易產生噁心、想吐的副作用。國立臺灣師範大學化學系教授葉怡均研究團隊,透過嗜熱細菌鏈黴菌(Streptomyces sclerotialus)的新型熱穩定酶,利用紅色螢光訊號,在短短30分鐘內檢測左旋多巴的存在,有望提升左旋多巴治療的安全性。[ more ]

Three university social responsibility (USR) projects from NTNU were awarded top honors at the 2024 Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards (TSAA) ceremony, held on August 8 at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. Recognized for their impactful contributions, the projects earned gold, silver, and bronze awards in their respective categories, reflecting the university's commitment to sustainable development.[ more ]

2024第四屆「TSAA臺灣永續行動獎」得獎名單已於日前公布,並於8月8日在臺北世貿一館進行盛大頒獎,本校報名角逐的三個大學社會責任實踐計畫分別榮獲金、銀、銅獎,實踐成果受到高度肯定。[ more ]


UT-Austin Special Ed Exchange at NTNU
美國德州大學來訪臺師大 特教系師生攜手共學

The Department of Special Education at NTNU has a longstanding partnership with the University of Texas at Austin (UT-Austin), facilitating numerous academic exchanges. The most recent exchange involved a delegation of 13 students led by Professor Kathryn Tackett from UT-Austin's Department of Special Education, who arrived to participate in a study-abroad course on special education in Taiwan.[ more ]

國立臺灣師範大學特殊教育學系與美國德州大學奧斯汀校區(University of Texas at Austin,簡稱UT-Austin)有著深厚情誼,已有多次的學術交流相關活動,此次由特殊教育學系Katie老師為首,帶領UT-Austin的13名學生來臺,進行特殊教育課程的移地教學,該課程主要是增進不同專業背景的大學生對各類特殊需求族群的認識與了解,並提升對特殊教育的關懷,課程內容主要包括介紹美國的特殊教育和臺灣特殊教育的制度、法規趨勢、現況和問題,以及智能障礙、聽覺障礙和注意力不足過動症等的身心特質與需求等議題。[ more ]


Promoting Taiwan’s Higher Education: Delegation Participates in the 2024 EAIE Conference in France

The European Association for International Education (EAIE) held its 2024 annual conference in Toulouse, France from September 17 to 20. National Taiwan Normal University President Cheng-Chih Wu , chairperson of the Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET), led a delegation of more than 50 participants from 21 universities to participate in the conference.[ more ]

International Collaboration in SDG Education for a Sustainable Future
跨領域的國際交流:SDGs氣候行動工作坊 激發年輕世代採取行動

The NTNU School of Teacher Education held an exciting bilingual workshop on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and climate change on September 7th, 2024. This event, conducted in English, brought together university students (future teachers), high school teachers and students, and students from Chiba University in Japan and focused on the impacts of climate change on Taiwan.[ more ]

臺師大師資培育學院於9月7日舉辦一場精彩的雙語聯合國永續發展目標 (SDGs) 氣候變遷工作坊,讓大學生(未來教師)、高中教師與學生、日本千葉大學生齊聚一堂,以全英語的方式進行學習與討論,就氣候變遷對臺灣的影響,思考與討論可能解決方案,分析過程中可能引發的利害關係,最終探討自身在生活中永續可行的氣候行動。[ more ]

'Robot City,' an innovative board game designed for teaching informatics in schools, developed by Professor Hsu Ting-Chia of the Department of Technology Application and Human Resource Development at NTNU, has recently signed a publishing agreement in 30 European countries—a significant milestone for Taiwanese academia in introducing informatics learning products to the European market.[ more ]

NTNU Welcomes 35 New Faculty Members, Expands International Expertise
臺師大迎來35位新進教師 強化國際化教學陣容

The 2024-25 academic year at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) begins on September 2nd. To prepare, the Center for Teaching and Learning Development held a 'New Faculty Orientation' on August 14th and 15th for 35 new faculty members. This program included lectures and workshops to help them integrate into campus life. Among them, six international scholars from Austria, Japan, the United States, Australia, Singapore, and South Korea will further enhance NTNU's global teaching and research capabilities.[ more ]

113學年度將於9月2日開學,國立臺灣師範大學教務處教學發展中心於8月14、15日舉辦「鴻鵠營」新進教師研習會,盼能透過講座、工作坊等活動,帶領教師熟悉校園事務,共有35位新進教師加入堅強教學陣容,其中來自奧地利、日本、美國、澳洲、新加坡、韓國的6位外籍教師,更為臺師大的教學與研究注入國際化能量。[ more ]
