NTNU Hosts Summer Program on Semiconductors and AI with Japanese Universities |

| NTNU launched a two-week summer program on Semiconductors and Artificial Intelligence, bringing 28 students from Kumamoto University and Prefectural University of Kumamoto to Taiwan for intensive study. Co-taught by NTNU’s College of Science and College of Technology and Engineering, the program combined lectures on semiconductor fundamentals, circuit design, and AIoT applications with company visits to TSMC and ACEBiotek. Conducted in English, the curriculum also included Mandarin lessons, cultural activities, and joint projects with NTNU and Indonesian students, for a total of 49 participants. The initiative strengthens Taiwan–Japan cooperation in cultivating international talent while offering students valuable academic training and cross-cultural experience in a field central to the global economy.more |

| National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), along with National Taiwan University (NTU) and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), formed a delegation of outstanding students to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from November 10th to 17th, 2024. The delegation was led by Prof. Greg Lee, former Executive Vice President of NTNU and a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering. The itinerary included a visit to the University of Sharjah, as well as exchanges with university students and young professionals from various industries in the UAE. Taiwan High School Students Rank 3rd Globally in Math |

| Taiwan placed third in the world in math, according to an international assessment test given to 15-year-old high school students across 81 countries. Taiwan not only did well in math but also ranked fourth in science and fifth in reading. Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) exams are typically offered in local languages, with 90 different language versions available, per Liberty Times. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) who sponsored the exam says the purpose is to better understand educational trends and to track how individual countries are performing. more |

Vytautas Magnus University Deepens Partnership in Visit to NTNU |

| On 24 October, Vytautus Magnus University’s Rector Prof. Juozas Augutis, Vice Rector for Communication Prof. Vilma Bijeikiené, and Head of International Cooperation Mr. Vaidas Dačiola paid a visit to National Taiwan Normal University. They met with NTNU President Cheng-Chih Wu, Executive Vice President Frank Yung-Hsiang Ying, and Vice President for International Affairs Yi-De Liu. VMU and NTNU had recently signed an MOU and a student exchange agreement in May; both universities hope that the first groups of exchange students will arrive at their respective campuses in the upcoming spring semester.
