On December 3, the College of Management at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) warmly welcomed a delegation from the University of Lille, France. The delegation included Prof. Nil Toulouse, Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Pascal Grandin, Dean of the College of Management, and Ms. Arielle Meunier, International Exchange Coordinator.
Located in northern France, the University of Lille is a comprehensive institution renowned for its excellence in research and teaching, with over 80,000 students and a wide range of disciplines, including humanities, sciences, medicine, and business management. Its College of Management is particularly well-regarded for its internationalized curriculum and practice-oriented approach, offering students a multicultural learning environment and abundant international exchange opportunities.
During the visit, the two institutions discussed plans for future collaboration, including student exchanges, dual-degree programs, and faculty partnerships, with the aim of deepening their academic and cultural ties. The discussions also explored ways to leverage each institution’s strengths in management and marketing to jointly develop professionals with global perspectives and practical skills. Both sides affirmed their shared commitment to international education and agreed to collaborate on fostering talent equipped with innovation and leadership skills for the global business environment.
NTNU’s College of Management has been actively advancing bilingual education (English Medium Instruction, EMI) and is set to launch the Bachelor of Business Administration – English Taught Program (BA-ETP) in August 2025. Designed to nurture globally competitive business leaders, BA-ETP marks a significant milestone in NTNU's efforts to enhance international business education. The program aims to cultivate future leaders ready to excel on the global stage through a fully English-taught curriculum.
On December 4, Prof. Yi-De Liu, Director of NTNU’s Office of International Affairs, hosted representatives from the University of Lille's Office of International Affairs. They exchanged ideas about the Taiwan-France Higher Education Forum scheduled for June 2025, to be hosted by the University of Lille. The meeting also included discussions on enhancing international academic exchanges and cooperation. Prof. Liu emphasized NTNU’s dedication to fostering international engagement, bilingual education, and strategies that enhance students' cross-cultural communication skills, aligning closely with the University of Lille’s long-standing mission to support student mobility and global education.
This visit underscored the strong alignment between the academic goals of NTNU and the University of Lille, laying a solid foundation for long-term collaboration. Both institutions look forward to creating impactful outcomes in interdisciplinary and intercultural education and research through initiatives like dual-degree programs, student exchanges, and faculty partnerships.
