Pop stars rocked the campus and made students lift the roof upon National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) Student Association's invitation for a concert at the gym tonight.
"We began to plan this concert during the summer,” said Wang Ci-hui (王慈慧), head of the association’s activity department and a sophomore from the Department of Adult and continuing Education.
The concert, sponsored by Chunghwa Telecom (中華電信), was named “New Arrival” and was designed to be a welcome party for freshmen. The four-hour concert was also broadcast live through Asia FM.
Entertainers Claire Guo (郭靜), Fan Fan (范瑋琪), Kai (胡元愷), Ailing Tai (戴愛玲), Sam Lee (李聖傑), Van Fan (范逸臣) and the group – Soda Green (蘇打綠) were all the highlights for tonight’s concert. Kai, in the meantime, is also a senior from NTNU’s Chinese Department.
In addition to performing their hit songs, these popular singers also carried out lots of interactions and had fun with the audiences at the scene. Crystal Wang (王騰瑢), a student from the Department of Civic Education and Leadership, was invited to have a conversation with Fan Fan on the stage and received a big hug from Fan Fan as well.
"I am here for Fan Fan! She is my favorite!” said Charyol Jau (趙晏瑩), a music major freshman who is a big fan of Fan Fan.
Meanwhile, Chunghwa Telecom offered a BenQ cell phone as the biggest prize for a draw during the concert and the winner went to Wang Feng-zi (王丰姿), a student from the Department of Human Development and Family Studies.
