演講主題：Polytomous IRT Models for Multidimensional Forced-Choice Items to Measure Intra- and Interpersonal Construct Differences

Jimmy de la Torre教授為美國伊利諾大學博士，現為香港大學教育學院教授，研究專長為測驗與評量技術、認知診斷模型、試題反應理論等。Jimmy de la Torre教授曾擔任Journal of Educational Measurement等多個國際期刊的主編或副主編，曾獲頒美國教育測量學會Bradley Hanson Award。

演講摘要：

Multidimensional forced-choice (MFC) items are often used in personality testing to ameliorate the impact of response biases. In the last decade, a number of item response theory (IRT) models, mostly for MFC items with binary responses, have been developed. However, there are many applications where MFC items with polytomous responses are more informative. To facilitate the practical use of such items, this presentation discusses two new classes of IRT models for polytomous MFC items: one based on rating scale models and the other based on tree models. Simulation studies conducted across various conditions show that the parameters of the new models can be well recovered, particularly when a complete linking design and a large sample are involved. The new models are also applied to a career interest assessment containing four-category polytomous MFC items to demonstrate their utility to produce measurements that can be used for both intra- and inter-personal comparisons.
