The annual NTNU International Cultural Festival kicked off on March 26. The three-day event took place along Sunlight Avenue on the Heping Campus, where students from Japan, Jordan, Southeast Asia, and other regions decorated stalls that showcased their countries’ delicacies and cultural products.[ more ]

臺師大國際文化節於3月26日正式開跑，活動為期三天，一系列活動在日光大道展開，來自日本、約旦、東南亞等國家學生，在攤位上販賣各國獨特佳餚與文創商品，並身穿家鄉傳統服裝，盡顯各國文化。日光大道成為連接世界各國文化的樞紐，各國學生互相交流，緊密連接各國情誼。[ more ]

Sharon I-Hua Hsieh, an alumna of the 2004 master's program in English Language and Literature at NTNU, has been awarded the Gill Jacot-Guillarmod Award by the U.S.-based Lois Roth Foundation for her contributions to international education and cultural exchanges.[ more ]

Coached by faculty from NTNU’s College of Science under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, a team of exemplary Taiwanese secondary school students were commended by Taiwan’s President Ing-Wen Tsai on January 8 for their exemplary performance in various international Olympiad competitions in mathematics and sciences in 2023, winning a total of 55 medals: 28 gold, 17 silver, 6 bronze, and 4 honorary awards, achieving a 100% medal-winning rate.[ more ]

國立臺灣師範大學理學院教授群協助教育部培訓我國代表隊選手，2023年參加各項「國際數理學科奧林匹亞競賽」，獲得28金、17銀、6銅，以及4面榮譽獎，一共55面獎牌，創下百分之百的得牌率，表現優異，為我國科學教育持續奠定良好基礎。其中，在國中科學項目中，6名代表參賽學生全數獲得金牌，這也是我國第12次獲得國際排名第1名。[ more ]

A research team led by Professors Yann-Wen Lan and Ting-Hua Lu from the NTNU Department of Physics has achieved a significant breakthrough in the realm of ferroelectric materials with the development of a ferroelectric crystal based on the two-dimensional material molybdenum disulfide (MoS2). [ more ]

國立臺灣師範大學物理系藍彥文教授與陸亭樺教授所組成的聯合研究團隊，在鐵電材料領域取得了重大突破，開發出基於二維材料二硫化鉬的創新鐵電電晶體(ST-3R MoS2 FeS-FET)，創造出僅有1.3奈米厚度，以及低操作電壓的鐵電材料半導體元件，解決了傳統鐵電電晶體縮小尺寸、降低功耗的難題，在未來可以作為非揮發性記憶體及低功率電子元件應用，有望成為先進的半導體技術的核心，提升我國半導體國際競爭力。[ more ]

Solidifying the sister school partnership between Purdue University and NTNU, Professor Cai Liping, from Purdue's School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, met with faculty at the NTNU School of Sports and Leisure on December 27. A continuation of the dialogue initiated on a prior visit in June 2023, the meeting focused on boosting future exchange programs and deepening academic collaborations between the two institutions.[ more ]

By invitation of the Fulbright Taiwan Foundation for Academic Exchange, the Teachers College at Columbia University visited National Taiwan Normal University on 4 March. This visit helped to revive the 2014-2016 cooperation between NTNU and Columbia University by kickstarting the process to renew their previous MOU. Columbia University expressed that a major goal of its visit to Taiwan is to establish short-term and long-term cooperation in teacher education, in-service training, and licensure examinations. As Taiwan’s premier university in these areas, NTNU is a vital partner. [ more ]
