In late-November 2023, NTNU officially joined the Taiwan-U.S. and Taiwan-UK Academic Alliances when Vice President Kwun-Min Chen and Director of International Affairs Yi-De Liu represented the university in signing official memorandums of understanding. These agreements align with the Ministry of Education (MOE)'s initiative, and will increase international academic collaborations.[ more ]

為強化吸引優秀國際生來臺就讀與留臺工作，教育部於今年9月發佈籌組國家重點領域國際合作聯盟及國際產學教育合作聯盟，透過籌組大學聯盟及設立海外基地、跨國共同合作發展，達成未來世代產業技術突破，及人才培育與發展。此一國際合作聯盟的新倡議，突破過去各大學雙邊合作交流模式，期望整合國內頂尖大學，以聯盟方式集體洽談國際產學研合作。臺師大於11月下旬，分別由陳焜銘副校長與劉以德國際長代表本校，前往美國德州與英國愛丁堡簽署臺美與臺英學術聯盟協議。[ more ]

A “Museum Without Walls” proposal, developed by an intercollegiate team comprising students from NTNU's Department of Fine Arts, and the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering of the National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech), received top honors at the 2023 Creative Proposal for Cultural Technology competition organized by Culture Tech Alliance (Cultech).[ more ]

文化科技發展協會2023年度「Cultech文化科技創意提案」競賽，以「企業出題，青年解題」方式，由十五家企業出題，鼓勵青年為企業帶來外部創新能量。國立臺灣師範大學美術學系與國立臺北科技大學資訊工程系的跨校團隊「無牆美術館：AR藝文穿越遊」提案以師大美術館為實驗場域，通過激烈的三階段競賽，在123件競賽提案中榮獲宇萌數位科技企業獎，取得入圍決選資格，接著在20組決選團隊中，經所有出題企業及協會代表組成的評審委員遴選，勇奪年度雛型開發組（POS）首獎。[ more ]

Mozarteum University Salzburg’s Chancellor Prof. Elisabeth Gutjahr commenced her first ever visit to Taiwan with a series of meetings at National Taiwan Normal University. The exchanges between Chancellor Gutjahr and NTNU representatives from the Department of Fine Arts and College of Music led to further considerations of how Mozarteum University Salzburg and National Taiwan Normal University can collaborate in future artistic and musical endeavors.[ more ]

奧地利薩爾茨堡莫扎特音樂大學（Universität Mozarteum Salzburg）校長 Prof. Elisabeth Gutjahr 首度訪台，10月27日造訪國立臺灣師範大學，與美術系和音樂學院教授進行國際學術交流，進一步探討雙方未來在藝術與音樂方面的合作。 薩爾茨堡是奧地利第四大城市，是知名作曲家沃爾夫岡·阿瑪迪斯·莫札特在35年生命中，前25年所居住的家。薩爾茨堡曾被認為是一個偏僻城鎮，與大城市形成鮮明對比，但目前在音樂領域享有盛譽，經典電影《音樂之聲》（The Sound of Music）就是以薩爾茨堡為背景拍攝。[ more ]

Taiwan President Ing-Wen Tsai attended the official launch of National Taiwan Normal University’s tenth College on October 4. Present at the unveiling ceremony of the College of Industry-Academia Innovation (CIAI) at NTNU were Minister of Education Wen-Chung Pan, NTNU President Cheng-Chih Wu, Chairman of NTNU Alumni Association Sheng-Hsiung Hsu, Honorary Chairman Jin-Pyng Wang, and business leaders from 12 enterprise partners in the program's inaugural year, including Chant Oil Co. The annual International Culture Festival at NTNU’s Linkou Campus was held on November 25. Hosted by Director Zeng-Xing Lin of the NTNU Academy of Preparatory Programs for Overseas Chinese Students (APPOCS), the event drew over 1000 participants. In attendance were faculty members Director Chia-Jung Lee of the Athletic Department, Associate Dean Hui-Ling Sung of the School of Continuing Education, and APPOCS Associate Director Xin Chen; as well as distinguished alumni Dr. Ooi Hean, Li Sam Choi, Iung-Iuan (Dalton) Lin, and Chong-Shiang Lim.[ more ]
