The Department of Applied Chinese Language and Literature invited Tseng Yi-ping, the dean of the Chinese Language Department in Jinan University to Lin-kou district to give a speech of the application of rhetoric in Chinese teaching. Professor Tseng cut into by teaching Chinese as a foreign language’s angle, brought rhetoric into Chinese teaching, and quoted the poem, the word, the prose, the joke and the network article to support his opinion, combined the ancient and modern, carefully examined by the different angle. Students all indicated that the lecture was easy to understand and they had learned a lot.
