NTNU continues to care for the aftermath of the 88 Flood. When Principle Guo returned to Taiwan on August 19^th from a cross-strait seminar on higher education and other academic visits, he immediately called a meeting with relative personnel to discuss issues in hygiene, counselling and education. The principle wished to offer academic assistance to help building up a comprehensive rebuild mechanism. “this is a long-term resistance,” said the principle. Besides recruiting student volunteers to the damaged areas, the school will also invest resources in counselling students from those areas.
