National Intercollegiate Athletic Game 2009 (NIAG) had its closing ceremony on May 5th at NTNU, the hosting university that won 48 gold medals, 38 silver medals and 31 bronze medals and became the champion university 6th year in a roll. It also broke its own record in the number of gold medals. The runner-up, National Taiwan University, also did well, winning 12 more gold medals than it did last year. This year’s NIAG had 5799 contestants, which made it a larger-scale game than ever. 2 new national records and 52 new NIAG records were also made in the duration.
