A total of 50 student clubs participated in the annual “National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) Student Club Fair” this year and tried to impress and recruit more potential members as the fair opened today.
"Here at the event, you can find something that you cannot learn from your textbooks,” said NTNU President Gou Yih-shun (郭義雄).
The annual event was opened to the public for only one day but it was a good chance for visitors to become acquainted with the university’s most popular clubs within a short time. It was also an alternative presentation of NTNU students’ work, in addition to their performances in classes.
Meanwhile, a 61-men evaluation group of instructors, former student club presidents and alumni would evaluate and select their favorites of “best camp organization by student clubs,” “best performance for regular club festivals,” “best efforts for regular classes," etc. during the fair.
When approached, Tseng Lu-yao (曾露瑤), the convener of the evaluation group and also a senior from the Department of Civic Education and Leadership, said that student club members’ efforts for the activity were definitely recognized and affirmed.
"It takes a lot to achieve a team work but everybody felt really good after the masterpiece was completed. That is what it is all about,” Tseng said.
