Nearly 1,000 students from National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) lifted the roof at Luxy, a well-known night club in the city, tonight.
Students Associations of NTNU and NTUST co-hosted the party at Luxy. For NTNU, it was an annual party but it was the first time for NTUST and it was also the reason that among these 1,000 party goers, approximately 700 of them were NTUST students, NTNU Student Association Department of Activity head Wang Ci-hui (王慈慧) said.
"One of the main reasons for the party was to offer a chance for students from both schools to meet each other naturally,” Wang said.
Regular admission price for Luxy is NT$600 each but it only cost NT$150 for every participant to the party tonight, as the Student Association would reimburse the difference afterwards. For association members who paid their membership fees, they will enjoy free multiple entrance admission until the end of January.
Wang mentioned that the Student Association initially planned to sell the admission tickets at NT$400 each to those non-members and NT$250 to members but they immediately discovered that the prices would have scare many students away.
"After all, for a party like this, we would expect as many people as possible,” she said.
Wang said that NTNU and National Chengchi University co-hosted the same party at the same location last year and they realized that Luxy is roomy enough to fit in at least 1,000 party goers so they decided to organize the same activity at the same place this year.
