“Republic of China 100-Year Special Education Series Activity”- 100-Year Special Education Forwarded To Exquisite Special Education Seminar took place at NTNU on December 9th. The seminar gathered domestic and overseas experts, scholars, and all the people who concerned about Taiwan special education to participate in the activity. Besides discussed the special education accomplishments in the past, also talked about the future.
Administrative Deputy Minister of Ministry of Education Wu Tsai-shung mentioned that the special education in Taiwan was forwarding to the higher quality and more exquisite service as the main goal in the recent years. The barrier-free campus was one of the great improvements. Other improvements such as promoting diversified of the talented education program, building the electronic administrative supporting network, and continuously holding the special education evaluation once three years. These measures built the foundation of special education in Taiwan. Principal Chang Kuo-en also mentioned that NTNU founded the special education center in 63-year and founded the department of special education in 75-year. NTNU had made a lot of effort on the special educational field in Taiwan. We expected to extend to the Asia area, Chinese area, and even the whole world. 100-Year Special Education Forwarded To Exquisite Special Education Seminar would be held for four days. The activities included lectures and forums. Expected everyone to have a whole new view of special education through the seminar and work together for the future of special education.
