NTNU Joined NUCTAD Creative Ecomony Academy Exchange Network

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development this year on December 2nd to 4th and the Global Education Conference on Creative Industries, Shanghai 2011 held by Shanghai educational committee and drama academy invited more than 200 global creative economy and cultural industry related scholars to participate.

The director of UNCTAD creative economy project Ms. Edna Dos Santos, the father of “global creative industry” John Howkins, and 21 other global cultural industry and creative economy experts invited to lecture on certain topics. NTNU department of visual art professor Lin Pan-sung was the only Taiwanese representative. He lecture about the “design strategy”, introduced Taiwan Ministry of Education’s plan of creative industry talented cultivation since 2003 and NTNU experiences of cross field cultural creative talented cultivation.

The UNCTAD belonged to the Creative Economy Academy Exchange Network. There were different academic types currently. 1. Art cross-schools, 2. Design related academy, 3. Media related academy, 4. Humanity related academy, and 5. Cross-field academy. The certificated ceremony went through the forum. Including China Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, TongJi University, Universitas Amoiensis, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, National Taiwan Normal University, National Taiwan University of Arts, National Cheng Kung University, and National Taipei University of Education 15 schools joined the network.

The network combined academy, artists, creative experts, and nongovernmental groups to popularize international cooperation, leagues, and interchange program, provided a platform for professors, scholars, and students to exchange information.
