NTNU Old Dome Astronomical Observatory Opened to Public on December 10th

 The 13th “Old Dome Astronomical Observatory Activity” would be held on December 10th. The sky this year was starry. Besides the shining star spread in the sky, the moon eclipse would be on December 10th night. Recently, the Jupiter reached its lightest brightness. Therefore, it would be a great chance to observe Jupiter. The department of earth science organized the activity, welcome public to participate in it.

The old dome astronomical observatory provided 40cm gauge of automatic computerized astronomical telescope. You could see where Armstrong landed on the moon. Other small astronomical telescope would be provided. The students from department of earth science would explain the star in the sky aw well. Doctor Lin Yan-ting from Academia Sinica institute of Astronomy & Astrophysics would give a lecture of “The Dark Power of the Universe”. You would be able to enjoy the starry sky and interesting story at the same time.
