86 years old NTNU physic education department retire professor, Neo Classis Dance Company creator Liu Feng-hsueh gave a speech in the gym on September 22nd. She danced her last Tang music and dance, won the big round applause from NTNU teachers and students.
Professor Liu Feng-hsueh was the first Dancing Ph. D. in Taiwan. She devoted herself in the dance work for 60 years. She made efforts in Han culture dance and aboriginal culture dance. Teaching in NTNU physic education department for almost 30 years, she cultivated lots of outstanding dancers. In her 123 plays, more then 150 dancers graduated from NTNU.
Professor Liu remembered NTNU provided her a big dancing classroom for her and her students a best place to practice, so she could focused on researching, teaching, and creating new dance. She talked about the downfall of Tang music and dance. Her new show “Ching Bei yueh” would be performed in National Theater Hall from October 20th to 23rd.
