To the students from Myanmar and Thailand,

On behalf of all faculty and staff, I would like to express our deepest sympathy for the earthquake that occurred on March 28, 2025. Myanmar and Thailand, including Mandalay, surrounding areas, and Bangkok, have been severely affected. Our thoughts are with those who have lost homes, loved ones, and property.

While we have not received reports of affected families among our students, we understand the distress you may feel, and we want you to know that the university stands with you and is ready to provide support.

If you are struggling emotionally or with your studies, we have counseling and academic assistance available. The Student Services, Student Counseling Center, Student Adviser Office, and the Office of International Affairs are here to help. Please reach out to us if you need support.

Relief activities for both Myanmar and Thailand will take place soon. Please prioritize your safety and adhere to legal guidelines, especially for fundraising activities.

If you need to return home to care for your family due to the earthquake, your absences will not affect your academic standing. Please coordinate with your professors to minimize academic disruptions. Contact us if you need further assistance.

Our deepest condolences go out to the victims, and we hope for a swift recovery for both Myanmar and Thailand.

Please remember, the university is here to support you during this difficult time.
