外交部編印發行的「台灣光華雜誌」月刊，8月份刊登「百年師大—台灣教育開路先鋒」主題，四頁篇幅中以中英雙語版本呈現，扼要介紹臺師大悠久歷史、辦學特色、豐富成果及未來展望，發行給駐外館處、各大圖書館及各訂閱戶。全文如下：

百年師大—台灣教育開路先鋒

人車熙來攘往，台北市和平東路精華鬧區上，氣勢宏偉的近代哥德式紅樓建築，以及外型典雅的山形斜屋頂禮堂，坐落於現代水泥叢林中，傳承百年的記憶。從日治時期、二戰結束到解嚴，再至今日國際化的台灣社會，近一世紀以來，它是台灣教育開路先鋒，也是孕育國家英才的搖籃——國立臺灣師範大學。

很難想像近百年前，和平東路前竟是一望無際的稻田，蛙鳴聲及課堂鐘聲伴隨著學生學習。台師大前身、1922年創立的「臺灣總督府臺北高等學校」就坐落於此，時移境遷，校園物換星移，文薈廳、禮堂、行政大樓、普字樓等四座日治時期建築依舊佇立，2003年被指定為市定古蹟，百年前學生上課與生活的空間，如今繼續被台師大學生使用著，象徵著學校精神的傳承與延續。

台師大現今已是一所培育多元人才的綜合大學，從最早的文、理、教育三學院，到管理、科技與工程、藝術、音樂、運動與休閒、國際與社會科學等學院，發展至今有九個學院、62個系所，兼顧人文、科技、在地、國際的各領域發展，「師大人」也從講臺上授課的教師，轉而在各行各業裡發光發熱，走出屬於自己的一條道路。

近年來，臺灣高等教育面臨國際競爭的高度挑戰，然而「師大人」繳出了一張漂亮成績單，人才培養從過去學習單一專業領域，轉變至今強調「跨領域」、「國際化」、「產業連結」，教育現場的教學方式也跟著與時俱進。正值政府推動2030國家雙語政策之際，校園擁有超過11%比率的國際學生，台師大更獲得教育部選定為「雙語化學習計畫重點培育學校」，扮演臺灣高教國際化的先驅。台師大在國內高等教育的評比中，更連續五年高居人文社會科學大學的第一名。

「青春器宇軒昂，展大度雍容；迎向國際創新局，深耕吾土致大公。」2021年版出爐的校歌，曲調依舊，新歌詞透露著這所百年大學的生日願望，宣示邁向世界頂大的宏願。

100 Years of NTNU—Leading the Way in Education

Today National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) is a general university, educating students in a wide range of fields. From its original three colleges of Liberal Arts,Science, and Education, it has gone on to open colleges of Management; Science,Technology and Engineering; Arts; Music; Sports and Recreation; and International Studies and Social Sciences, with nine colleges and 62 departments in all. Tuned in to national and international developments in both the humanities and the sciences, NTNU alumni take what they have learned in the classroom to forge their own paths, achieving brilliant successes in all walks of life.

In recent years institutions of higher education in Taiwan have faced the daunting challenges of meeting the needs of industry and of competing internationally, but NTNU has shown outstanding performance. It has shifted its teaching emphasis from merely “imparting knowledge” to also fostering links with industry, multidisciplinary integration, and internationalization, as well as raising its game in terms of teaching and learning methodology. In line with the government’s 2030 national bilingual policy, international students now comprise 11% of the student body, making NTNU the most international campus in Taiwan.
