The National Taiwan Normal University College of Management (hereafter “NTNU COM”) recently signed several industry–academia collaboration memorandums with companies including Systex Corporation and Fubon Asset Management, further strengthening ties between academia and industry while creating more internship and employment opportunities for students. This joint effort focuses on nurturing future business leaders who possess international perspectives, digital transformation capabilities, and sustainability-oriented thinking. It also responds to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 8: “Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.” By providing on-campus internships and career development pathways, NTNU COM aims to advance a new model of win–win–win collaboration among government, industry, and academia.
College of Management: Harnessing Industry–Academia Cooperation to Generate Diverse Benefits
NTNU COM upholds the mission of “creating management knowledge and cultivating business leaders with humanistic qualities,” dedicating itself over the long term to advancing both academic research and industry–academia cooperation. With the newly signed memorandums, the College will further integrate “teaching–research–practice,” allowing students to maintain close connections with the business community during their studies. The scope of collaboration encompasses the Department of Business Administration, the Graduate Institute of Management, and the Global Business and Strategy Research Institute, with various collaborative mechanisms enhancing teaching and research quality.
In terms of internships and professional guidance, corporate partners will offer students frontline internship opportunities, helping them understand market demands. Outstanding performers may even be converted to full-time employment or join corporate projects, laying a solid foundation for career growth. Meanwhile, through industry–academia collaboration, faculty members can access richer research resources, deepen their academic inquiries, and strengthen the practical dimension of teaching. Building on a development model centered on “equally emphasizing research and teaching, merging theory and practice,” NTNU COM plans to integrate industry resources and expertise to further cultivate students’ comprehensive competencies and sense of social responsibility.

One of the College’s partner companies, Systex Corporation, aspires to become a “world-class software enterprise.” It specializes in a diverse range of core technologies—software, data, and cloud services—to assist businesses in implementing digital transformation across the board. Beyond focusing on technological R&D, Systex is also committed to creating a comfortable work environment, featuring a fitness center, café, and shared workspaces where employees can freely switch work settings to spark innovative thinking. Each year, Systex launches internship and career mentoring programs that enable high-potential students to rapidly gain hands-on experience through real-world projects, paving the way for them to become digitally competitive professionals of the future.
Featured Partner – Fubon Asset Management: Positive Power, Making Possibilities Happen, Promoting Sustainable Finance
Fubon Asset Management is dedicated to providing comprehensive financial services and actively promoting green bonds and ESG investment strategies. The company has joined RE100 and passed the Science Based Targets (SBT) review, demonstrating its strong commitment to carbon reduction and sustainability. Upholding the philosophy of “Positive Power, Making Possibilities Happen,” Fubon seeks to help clients balance asset growth with social value through financial innovation—for example, by issuing funds that use ESG ratings as the basis for stock selection and by promoting green financial products. Additionally, Fubon has established diverse training mechanisms that enable new hires and interns to gain in-depth understanding of financial markets and related trends, cultivating a professional financial perspective that equally emphasizes performance and social impact.
Looking Ahead: Deepening New Southbound Cooperation to Achieve Three-Way Success for Government, Industry, and Academia
Starting in fall 2025, NTNU COM will introduce the English-Taught Program in the Department of Business Administration (BA-ETP), offering an all-English curriculum to develop business and management professionals with cross-cultural communication skills, global perspectives, and social responsibility. The BA-ETP curriculum focuses on recruiting and training international students; more than half of its international enrollees are expected to come from New Southbound countries, aligning with Taiwan’s growing demand for talent in New Southbound markets. In addition to covering the existing Department of Business Administration and the two graduate institutes, this collaboration will also benefit BA-ETP students. Through internship and job-matching mechanisms, businesses can identify and train international talent studying in Taiwan, while students can gain broader career opportunities. This cooperative model not only supports the government’s New Southbound talent development policy but also establishes a sustainable development paradigm that creates a win–win–win scenario for industry, academia, and government alike.
