NTNU has partnered with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (TSMC), a global leader in semiconductor technology, to launch a specialized Semiconductor Program aimed at strengthening students’ industry expertise and professional skills. As part of the initiative, TSMC’s recruitment team visited NTNU on September 23, holding a mobile recruitment event at the university’s Career Center that provided students with the opportunity for in-depth, one-on-one career consultations with TSMC professionals.

As part of the 2025 TSMC Pre-recruitment and R&D Alternative Military Service initiative, 60 pre-registered students participated in one-on-one meetings with eight seasoned TSMC professionals. These sessions provided valuable insights into the company’s workplace culture and career opportunities. Students who had not pre-registered were also invited to the Career Center, where TSMC’s human resources team addressed questions and distributed limited-edition chargers and drink vouchers. The event attracted nearly 200 engaged participants, creating a lively and interactive atmosphere.

TSMC’s 2025 Pre-Recruitment and R&D Alternative Military Service program is actively seeking candidates from a variety of disciplines, including electrical engineering, optoelectronics, telecommunications, physics, materials science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, and related fields. Students specializing in human resources, education, psychology, management, business administration, labor studies, and statistics are also encouraged to apply. In addition to on-campus recruitment activities, TSMC will host four online briefings in October, conducted in multiple languages: Chinese sessions on October 4 (Friday) and October 8 (Tuesday), an English session on October 16 (registration required), and a Japanese session on October 17 (registration required). Interested students are invited to submit their resumes by October 31.

The Career Center of the NTNU Office of Student Affairs will also launch the 113-1 Career Series, featuring workshops on resume writing and interview skills, labor security, digital marketing, self-branding, and workplace visits. Interested students are encouraged to visit the Career Services website (https://careercenter.ntnu.edu.tw/lecture.php) for further details and to register for upcoming events.
