The last game of 2019 Hyundai World Archery Championships was held at Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. Our best record at the recurve bow was the silver by women's team in 2007. Individually, Wei Chun Heng and Lin Shih Chia won silver medals in personal game in 2017 and 2015. This is a record-breaking moment for Taiwan's archery team. At the 2012 Summer Olympics Lei competed for Taiwan in the women's team event and women's individual event. She also represented Chinese Taipei at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
As the first Taiwanese gold winner of the World Archery Championships, Lei was grateful of her team, her coach and her teammates. Coach Ni Ta Chih said that Lei stayed focus in the game but keep calm. This is a very rewarding game of Taiwan's athletes. The men's team and women's team both booked three Olympic quotas in archery for Tokyo 2020. The team won a total of three gold and one bronze, which is the best result ever.
