Russia is one of the BRIC countries and one of the world's largest economies. About 250 million people speaks Russian and now you can learn it at NTNU. College of International Studies and Social Sciences, National Taiwan Normal University, opened Russian courses for the first time since the second semester of the 2016 academic year. In the following semester, an advanced course was opened on every Thursday by Assistant Prof. Kurovskaya from Samara branch of Moscow City Pedagogical University. All students are welcomed.
Prof. Kurovskaya will start from the alphabets, pronunciation, correct tones and intonation, grammar, basic vocabulary and speaking ability. (Including: introduction, location, orientation, occupation, nationality, time, diet, shopping, transportation, city, family, school, etc.) Students can learn the basic grammar, reading and understand basic Russian dialogue. In the course, a brief introduction to the history of Russia, cultural customs will be introduced.
This course aims to train students listening, speaking, reading and writing ability. They can understand and use the basic Russian grammar rules correctly as well as to understand Russian history and culture. Russian language courses are open to senior students or above level.
At the moment, NTNU has a lot of language courses like Japanese, Korean, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Thai, as well European culture program, Japanese language program and Korean language program.
