Dr. Tobie Stein Gives Lectures at NTNU

The Art management and marketing forum, hosted by the Graduate Institute of Performing arts of NTNU, was held on November 30th. Dr. Tobie S. Stein, the Director of the graduate program in performing arts management was invited to the forum. Prof. Stein started lecturing for 8 days at NTNU and was welcomed by President Wu and other senior administrators on November 27th.
Tobie S. Stein is the director of the graduate program in performing arts management. Her articles/podcast, focusing on executive coaching, workforce development, career transition and diversity, have appeared on the Foundation Center Philanthropy Chat website and in the Journal of Arts Management, Law and Society, National Business Employment Weekly, New York Newsday and The Wall Street Journal. She has been granted for the Fulbright Program twice.
Hsia Hsueh Li, who invited Prof. Stein to NTNU, said that Prof. Stein has served as a consultant at various institutes like UNESCO, Metpath, Inc. and her students are from many well-known institutes of arts like Lincoln Center, Metropolitan Opera House and Lincoln Foundation.
Prof. Stein said that she's impressed by the hospitality of Taiwanese. For the past seven years, she has visited Taiwan many times meeting scholars and art performers. This is her fifth time coming to NTNU and she always visits here when she comes. President Wu expressed his welcome and hopes that Prof. Stein's lecture can broaden the vision of students.
In the lecture, Prof. Stein wants the students to introduce themselves. She always encourages the participants to make introduction to everyone at the beginning of her lecture no matter where she goes because it takes courage to make an introduction and people can know more about you. Prof. Stein thinks that know how to respect is important for leaders. If you don't respect your coworkers, no one would follow you. It's suggested that you should know everyone in your work place and interact with them.
