EMBA Students Visits the Silk Road

The goal of EMBA, NTNU is to educate an outstanding high-level manager. In addition to accumulated management skills, one should learn the knowledge of managment and to see changes globally. Dean Chou De Wai and Director Wang Shih Ju went to The Belt and Road Initiative at Lanzhou and Dunhuang from September 12 to 19.
At College of Dunhung, Northwest Normal Univeristy, Dean Tian Weige welcomed them personally and shared with them the story of Dunhung. It was an informative two hours of the story of daily life of monks, patrons, painters and architects,
At Lanzhou University, Vice President Chen Xiao Ding talked under the topic of 'the Construction of the Economic Belt at Silk Road and Opportunities in the West'. He talked about one belt and one road, initiated by China's General Secretary Xi Jinping, the industry in China and specifications.
Prof. Wang Jiqing talked about the adventure of silk road and re-discovery of Dunhung culture. Silk Road. The Silk Road was an ancient network of trade routes that connected the East and West. It was central to cultural interaction between the regions for many centuries. Lanzhou is an important city located on the ancient silk road. Merchants walked through it, rest on it or even moved there have contributed to the culture of it. After 500 years, one of a kind local style was formulated. This is why the group of EMBA visited Lanzhou all the way to Dunhuang to observe the development of silk road. They also visited the Gansu Lanzhou Creative Cultural Industry Park to know more about the resources and challenges.
The EMBA of NTNU has actively searched for opportunities for international exchanges. There are overseas management courses, which is about overseas visits to top companies abroad, for a broader and more competitive vision.
